Scenario 1: Accidental deletion
We save two PNG image files and two MOV videos on C: drive and delete it. Then, empty the Recycle Bin folder by right-clicking it and selecting the Empty Recycle Bin option.
Scenario 2: disk formatting
We save the above example data files on D: drive and format it using the Disk Management tool.
Part 2: Recover Deleted Files by Accident

During the scanning process, we also tried the file filter and preview feature. The filter has 3 available options: type, date modified and size and is displayed in a funnel shape.
Select it, click Type > Images and put .png in the search box to locate the deleted PNG images quickly. Once found, double-click to preview it. To locate the deleted MOV videos, select Videos and type .mov instead.
We found the two deleted PNG images and MOV videos and restore them to another location successfully. The entire process only takes a few minutes.
After it said we restored 4 files successfully, we clicked the recovered path to check our PNG images and MOV videos and see if it is corrupted. The photos look just like the original and the video is smooth.
