Spooky season, typically starting on September 1st and ending on November 1st, is a celebration dedicated to the deceased. It is also a great time to prepare for Halloween. But how exactly do you prepare for this important event? Below are ways you can celebrate Samhain in your home and future condo at Lucerne Grand!
Learn its History
The Festival of the Ghouls dates back to the ancient Celtic celebration of Samhain. This period meant the end of summer and the beginning of the long and dark winter. It is often associated with death, ghosts, zombies, skeletons, and other supernatural forces that rose on October the 31th, which they thought was the day it blurred the lines between the dead and the living.
Count Down to Midnight
The Day of the Dead is one of the most celebrated and important events in history, rivaling Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. Surely you wouldn’t miss the wait until midnight, would you? Additionally, try to count it down with your friends or family, because it is certainly more fun celebrating together!
Wear Costumes
Costumes are a big part of the witching hour, so why not wear a costume to celebrate the fall festival? Thousands of costumes are available, from a creepy skeleton dress to a pop-culture cosplay; it would be impossible not to pick at least one fitting fashion choice!
Purchase/Recycle Decorations
At All Hallow’s Eve, there are plenty of spooky-related items and decorations for sale, so it is not very difficult to find and purchase some appropriate aesthetics at your local stores and shops. If you can, use some recyclable materials to create your own homemade decorations!
Go Trick or Treating
Halloween’s the day when you stand in front of the neighbor’s door, excitedly waiting for it to open as you look at your empty Samhain-related basket. At the same time that door opens, you and your friends or family shout “Trick or Treat!” Then, the person behind the door laughs and says the same to you, giving you free treats in return. Why not give it a go too?
