Ber months started in September and it will only be getting colder from here, as we are now a month away from Christmas. Stay warm during the holiday season by following these tips and tricks.

Layer Up

Start layering your clothes by wearing a shirt and then topping it off with a sweatshirt or hoodie and sweatpants and pajamas. This preserves your body temperature when going out and when staying at home to keep you warm. Bring out thick comforters you’ve been storing and place them on your bed and sofa for an extra layer when sleeping or doing activities while relaxing in the living room.

Thermostat

A common fix is to raise the temperature of your condo space at Chencharu Central Residences with a thermostat. Having one gives you complete control of the surroundings and air quality in your home. When it drops to temperatures that are below the set target it will activate the heater and slow down how much heat is actually lost in your home.

Warm Beverage

Enjoy a hot cup of coffee, tea or hot cocoa. Parts of our body like the stomach, throat and mouth have sensors for temperature and consuming warm beverages alarm the sensors and send that straight to your brain to help with heat regulation. When holding the warm cup you also heat up your palm. Match this with layered clothing and you can stay cozy and warm.

Heat Packs

Heat packs are a way to directly put heat to parts of your body that need it. There are some for the hands, shoulder and lower back and feet. There are 2 heat bags, one that uses electricity because they are pre-filled and one where you can put water into it.

Move Around

Don’t be a couch potato during the cold season. Physical activities such as simply walking around or stretching generates heat. It helps increase blood flow in your body and along with metabolic rate, whereas your body burns calories which helps in increasing body temperature.
